If you or someone you care about has cancer, the team at the Cancer Society can provide assistance. We understand how a cancer diagnosis can affect every aspect of your life and we are here to help you through. We support not only the person with cancer, but family and friends.

We know that going through cancer is tough and can raise many questions. We want you to know that we’re here for you. From help with getting to your medical appointments and understanding your treatment options, to offering practical support, – we can help.

We can also help make sense of all the information you have been provided with and assist you to understand what support is available to you and your family/whanau to help make day-to-day living easier.

If you want to talk, we make the time to listen and assist you to be in control of your situation.

No matter how well supported you are by family/whanau and friends, it is never easy to hear a cancer diagnosis and to go through treatment. It can be extremely difficult asking for help and often, your support network doesn’t have the answers. Perhaps you don’t know what to ask. It may be easier for you to talk openly to someone who isn’t within your close circle of family/whanau and friends.
